Need opinions and advice on proposed build

Hi all. Any advise or thoughts on these base components would be greatly appreciated. System will be used for entertainment, gaming, video rendering.

My old components were

E8700 Duo
Ga-ep45-ud3p (inboard short)
16g DDR2 1033
EVGA 9800 GTX+ SSC

New build will be

i5-3570k
Asus P8Z77-V Pro (able to OC and comes with inboard WiFi)
16g DDR3 1600
XFX HD7950

My main concern is if I'm making the right call on the asus z77 mobo. Asrock would have been my first choice if the extreme4 came with built in wifi. Also I'm scarred from Gigabyte so I'll pass on their boards. Thanks in advance.

wow thats some jump on performance, yeah its the right call on the asus motherboard. Good luck

It depends on the price. I mean, you could go and get the ASRock and then just get a cheap WiFi adapter. That's how mine is setup right now.

When it comes to stuff taking up more space, the integrated wifi is golden. I'm also a stickler about things that plug into front USB ports and cable management. A clean and neat appearance/environment enables for higher achievement. Price for a P8Z77-V Pro vs Extreme 9 (very nice board with intergrated wifi) is much less. We all have our standards . Thank you for your input.
