Aopen or Lite On ??

Buying my first burner. Trying to decide b/n
Aopen 24/10/40 and Lite-On 24/10/40. Can't find any reviews for the Aopen. Not much difference in price. Looking for recommendations. Also why would I want to burn at speeds lower than 8x?

The liteon isn't as fast, but it will back up every single program/game that you can buy. The only *good* reason to slow down your burn speed is to overburn farther. I can o/b another 10 seconds or so if I drop down to 8 rather than 12.
