Mini-HDMI=>HDMI=>DVI not detecting display

Hello, everybody!

I have connected a mini-hdmi to hdmi adapter to my MSI Geforce GTX560Ti, and from that to a monitor I have a 5 meter hdmi cable. The cable is plugged into a hdmi to dvi adapter which is plugged into the monitor.

I have the latest drivers and am running on Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit).

Does anybody have an explanation for why my display is not being detected?

I eliminated the HDMI<->DVI adapter to be the cause of the problem.
So now I only have GTX560Ti mini-hdmi => hdmi => tv

Why can't I use the mini-hdmi port of my graphics card?
