In need of a good wireless router for 2 floor townhouse please help

Hi there I'll cut to the chase, I tried posting about this in another category but got little to no help so am trying here.
I just bought a laptop and am completely new to routers and need help finding one under $100 that is good and reliable and has good signal output to a 2 floor house.

So far I have been looking at an older Linksys WRT54GL $69.99, on newegg it has over 3,400 reviews with over 83% 5 egg counts.

One person recommended to me a NETGEAR WNR3500L $75.99 on newegg.

Can somebody please help me out with a selection? I'm looking to purchase one tonight from either online or a nearby store if they have it there.

I used the Netgear WNR3500L and the Linksys E2000 before

the WRT54GL is a solid route; however, it only provides G-wireless. N-wireless has a better coverage area.

I am now hesitant to order online because if an issue occurs i have to ship back and it becomes a time game.

Can anybody recommend a decent one from bestbuy.ca? So I can just go pick it up personally.

Thanks but I ended up purchasing a Linksys e1200 today, works great so far and has big range. I was actually considering that one too.
