Hi, i am wanting to buy a 670 for a build i will be putting together in a system very soon and would like to know the difference in the types of coolers on the 670 and what impact they have on temps of the card and temps in the case.

I wanted something like this: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-msi-gtx-670-power-edition-oc-28nm-pcie-30-(x16)-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-1019mhz-boost-1079mhz-cores-13 But i friend said that this card would be exhausting most of the heat from the card into the case making everything run hotter. I will be using a h100 cooler if this is of any relevance.

He suggested something like this: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-msi-gtx-670-overclocked-28nm-pcie-30-(x16)-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-965mhz-boost-1045mhz-cores-1344-2xd Because it has a covered fan and will exhaust most of the heat out the back of the case.

Is this true? and if so how much will it effect the temps? My room is usually at an ambient temp of around 25C

Also, could you please link any 670s that are popular in the community that would be a good choice to buy.

Thanks in advance =p

Case: Corsair 650D
Cooler: Corsair H100 with SP120 quiet fans

he's right about the first one exhausting into the case, however it really shouldn't be much of a problem, especially if you have some extra fans in your case. 2 Pretty good choices are: EVGA FTW (has the highest clock speed and will exhaust out of your case) and Direct CU II Top (has probably the best cooling, giving you much more potential to overclock).

He is correct but it doesn't matter very much if you have a good case with good air flow you can compare here with the 670's listed:But it's just to read if your interested i wouldn't say it proves that one is better than the other.
