Will directx 11 graphics card work xp

Hello, i am thinking of buy a new graphics card but i have windows xp and direct x 9C. The cards i am lloking at say i need Direct X 10 or 11. Will these cards still work on Direct X9? Thanks

Yes. The cards will only work with the newer versions of Direct X if it's supported. They will work fine with older versions.
