I have purchased a new graphics card, ASUS HD 7770 and when i tried to install it, i noticed there was a 6 pin slot on its side, however there is no 6 pin adapter that had come with the card, or there is not a spare on from the PSU its self. At first i uninstalled the old graphics card, and then tried to start the computer but got nothing on the display, then i noticed the 6 pin slot and i am assuming that this is the reason why it wasn't displaying anything. The PSU i have is ACE Model A500BR - http://www.amazon.co.uk/ACE-500W-PSU-12cm-Red/dp/B005FW0Q48. Could someone please give me any info, i have a feeling ill need a new PSU as i understannd what would happen if the power supply cant handle the card. Would the new PSU come with the cables to connect it all up or would i need the current ones i have, any information would be helpful thank you :)

your psu is under £15

not surprised it doesnt have a 6 pin connector

you could get an adaptor--molex to 6 pin

or sata to 6 pin

assuming you have a free molex or sata connector

but personally i would buy a better quality psu

any half decent new psu should have at least 1 6 pin pci-e connector
