I bot a laptop and I have long since misplaced the passphrase. When I look laptop win 7 will give you the key info, but old Vista only gives asterisks.
In the Netgear website, Renaming the SSID doesnt give me a new ROUTER SSID. It accepts looks like it is changing the router, then goes back to the old SSID. The only thing I can think of is to delete the stored NETGEAR SSID. Then setup a fresh one. What would be the best steps for deleting it. From the computer Network & Sharing ctr. or from the NETGEAR 192...internet location. I'm asking because it keeps poping back up. I'm using an HP box w/ Vista, NETGEAR routerWGR614v6 and COX cable/cisco sciAtl 2100 modem.
