Dx4200-09 Processor upgrade

so I want a new mobo and cpu for my gateway 4200-09 DX I have already replaced the power to a 600w and the graphix cad to an R6770 and replaced the old hard drive so I guess my question is when I replace bothmy mobo and cpu want it to be fast and since I am replacing both aslong as the 2 unction together tas all I need to no right

What I would do (assuming you got the money) it building a new system... It gets difficult to update systems that are too old... :/ Tell me if you want help...
If you really want to upgrade, the i3-3220 is kinda awesome I might say x)

well I have already changed my power supply and graphix card my intent is to have a new system when I am done that's why I was asking my mobo has everything built into it so what do I do
