hey people,

i have a real noob question about graphic cards and attaching 3 screens.

so i'm getting a hd7750 or a 7770 but i can only attach 2 screens on those cards unless i buy a displayport cable. is it possible to attach the 3rd screen to my mobo? will the computer find that screen?

peace

The PC has to know which graphics solution to use (integrated or discrete). It gets that knowledge from the BIOS. I don't think the mobo can work both solutions at the same time, AFAIK.

if you use one of the mb that has a cpu that has a built in gpu. you can most times in the bios turn both the ipgpu and the gpu on. the issue is anything on the ipgpu (games or web) your going to be using the power of the ipgpu and some system ram. mb like the z77 sabertooth have the mvp chipset that lets both gpu run at the same time.

so buying a displayport adapter or cable would be better i gues:)
