TX2 and Raid

I guess I'll discover the answer to this in a couple of days, but forwarned is four armed (disked anyway)...

My boot drive will be a 2 disk hardware raid 0 using the KG7 onboard Raid. The standard ide controllers are being used for cd, dvd and a backup removeable drive.

I also have 2 Promise TX2 controllers coming and I'm planning on hooking up another 4 drives to these as 4 masters for video editing. The question is, will both TX2 controllers work together in the same computer?

I should have checked first really but there you go! Any ideas?

You may get conflicts using the Onboard RAID controller and the two TX2 controllers. The TX2 and the onboard RAID controllers are going to be seen to the system as SCSI controllers, and in that case usually assign to IRQ 10, 11, or 12. 10 is usually an unassigned IRQ and 11 & 12 are reserved for SCSI. If they assign to those separate and don't share I would be amazed...

As long as you don't get any conflicts there shouldn't be any reason that they won't work ...
