Hd 7770 or hd6790?

hey people,

what gpu would you recommend the hd 7770 or the hd6790.

i will be using the following system:

i5 3450
8 gb dd3 1333mhz
corsair cx500w


so far as i know is that the hd 7770 uses less power but the 6790 is better in performance.

is this right? and is the power usage alot when you compare this 2 cards wit each other?

The 7770 is the recommended choice between the two graphics card you have given. It consumes less power and is actually better in performance than the 6790.

that's going to be a hard choise for me than. i have 3 options wich are:

pay 570eu for a pc with the 6790 and the components i listed above
pay 590eu for a pc with the 7770 and the components i listed above
pay 570eu for a pc with the 7750 and the components i listed above

so do you think it will be worth it to pay 20eu more for the 7770?

Depends on the graphic settings and resolution you play at. In my opinion, it is worth it. If you are planning to save some money for a future upgrade then a 6790 is good.

just saw a benchmark on the 6790 compared to the 7770 and the power usage was alot compared to the 7770 wich will also save me money in the longer run i gues+a better card overal

yes the 7770 is a much better card. also most cards that end in "90" are stressed from the factory and therefor (usually) do not last as long

The 6790 is a cut-down and overclocked 6850 as I understand it. For reference, the 7770 is just about on equal terms with the 6850.
