have a yamaha 2100e and need to disable dma in order to use clonecd software. I used to be able to do this in device manager by unchecking the dma box but I recently installed the intel application accelerator which replaced my older intel ata 100 driver ( 815ep chipset) unfortunately this removed the dma check box and reinstalling the older version does NOT restore it !! What I need is a way to disable dma for this drive... perhaps through the registry ?? which key etc should I look for ??
any help here very much appreciated

Ywhy not use blindread/write- u don't need to disable dma and it works better than clonecd.

U got a problem?! Then dial 1800-328-7448!

Tried that.. same kind of error writing the disk (thankfully I always do a test on a RW) reinstall of standard MS ide drivers allowed Blindwrite to work so obviously there is a common -problem here with the enhanced ide drivers from the chipmakers
