Im trying to setup a liquid cooling system in my pc but I wanted to test all of my main components to make sure they work before I install everything. I already have my waterblocks on my graphics cards and i was wondering if it would be bad to testbed my system with no water running through my components just to make sure they are working correctly. I have a h100 lying around i can attach to my cpu but would it be bad to run the gpu's with no water just to see if they boot?

Solution
Just to boot wouldn't be a problem, but I'd run them absolutely NO longer than is necessary for your test. During the test, why not put a fan blowing on them just for added security of comfort.
