Honestly the 660 Ti which is about to be released might handle that resolution for gaming better than the 7870.

do you know when it will be released. like are we talking the next week or the next month or 2?

It has gone around that it would be released mid-month. This month. I read somewhere maybe the 16th. So it is like SOOOOOOON. Real soon. Rumored to be somewhere like mid $250's or close the $300. We will find out real soon.

It's supposed to release Thursday. It has been reported seen on shelves at certain Best Buy locations. They're trying to get a jump on it so people buy there because their business has been failing lately.

Hmm I can't wait to see how it performs. Although upgrading from a 560Ti probably won't increase performance that much. $250 is a lot easily spent than $400. I'm always tempted to put purchases above 400 on a card and pay it off as I go just because I hate dropping that much all at once lol

Yeah I have seen nVidia cards at Best Buy always sell for more than what you can find online. I would say only buy there if the total price would be about the same or less as online including shipping. At least at Best Buy if that were the case, you could do an exchange same day as opposed to buying it somewhere else.

I used to have two GTX 260 core 216's and the SLI performance honestly was great. I played games great, just after a while they got outdated. Never really had an issue with SLI like some people say.

Best buy prices are outrageous! The same card I got for around $240 on newegg was selling for around $430. And the funny part was it wasn't even the OC /Cooled version just another model.

I know! I am planning on buying a Galaxy S III and Best Buy had the 16 gig model for $699. The Sprint store sells it for straight up $549. I went into the store and was like "wtf?" the sales guy said they do price matching. They sucker people into high prices who don't know what they are doing. But I can say this, I bought my H100 at Best Buy cheaper than it was on newegg.com.

They try to get you with the warranty though. I went there to get a SATA cable and the people didn't know what it was. Same at radio shack. When I finally found it, cost was 19 bucks for a 10 inch little cable. Got it online and waited despite me needing it.

The 660TI should be out this Friday, I've heard people already have one, at least those that work at best buy. They can get decent discounts. I'm waiting to see if the 670 prices drop and how above a 560Ti it will be.

I like MSI too for their cooling and materials are nice quality too. Weird its almost as big as a 670 lol. The $309 model has a higher boost clock than the EVGA model.

do you think i should opt for the MSI OC model? i dont plan on over clocking a gpu but i heard that some factory OC model's dont last as long

The OC model should be overclocked from the factory at a certain rate. You can then overclock your self to a point. I've never overclocked my msi 560Ti but if you do you can reach pretty good performance. It all depends what resolution and settings you want to play at, what games, and of course your budget. If you are going to spend anything around 350 or more, then I would say get a 670 FTW edition.
