Problem with AMD display driver

hi, I game at 1920x1080 resolution and my video card is an amd tf iii 7850. i connect my monitor to my graphics card via a hdmi cable. the amd display driver causes my monitor's resolution to become really weird, the black outlines return to the outside of the screen, and the picture quality goes down the gutter. what should I do? without the display driver i'm unable to even load up any games.

Did you install the drivers from the AMD website?

yep, i've also tried installing from the MSI website. do you need to know what monitor I have?

That is an awesome monitor. And its just as I've thought. Sometimes graphics cards have a hard time working with TV's. Like my TV is a 1080p, but I have to run it at 1776x1000 to get the picture right.
