I will be honest I am new to pc gaming and started out recently, I am not tech savy, had a low budget and this is what I built:

CPU: phenom 2 x4 965 (stock)
GPU: powercolor 7850 2gb ocd
Ram: 8gb

I guess what i am asking is:
a. will this build be able to max games at 1280x1020 for the next 2 years AA at least at 4 or did I make an error in buying a am3 mobo which only allows phenom cores.

b. Can I at least ,based on speculation, play battlefield 4 maxed when it comes out at 30 fps.

As far as games out now, yes you should be fine playing them maxed, or at least close to it. Maybe AA and that kind of eye candy turned down. But its defiantly not future proof. Games are becoming more CPU and GPU demanding. And BF3 was a killer when...

Unless requirements have been released. But again, with games out now you should be ok. Give or take a few.
