I'm going to buy a Intel Core i7-3930K on a Asus Rampage IV Motherboard, what cooler should I buy to go with it? I was thinking watercooling would be best but then I thought i'm not overclocking so now i don't see the need too... so what cooler should i buy? budget it about £70-$120

More about : cooler

Why do you want then an asus rog board if you don't plan to overclock or the i7-3930k ?
The cm hyper 212 evo will do for stock speeds or even for a bit of overclocking.

I planned on overclocking in the future but not atm and not all the time, but could you suggest a better Mobo?

Mainly for gaming, but I will be doing some form of 3D editing and modelling in the future due to my College courses, but I don't think it will be very straining on the computer.

Then you're just better off with an i5-3570k or i7-3770k(if for editing), the i7-3930k will be a waste, just get one of those two plus a z77 motherboard like the asus z77 pro.
For the cooler the cm hyper 212 is still a good choice.

Would the I5-3670k be able to handle what I need? 2560x1440 resolution (1 screen), Battlefield 3 maxed out and all the latest to old games maxed and this might be a silly one, but could it handle a 500 person war on skyrim? or say a nuclear explosion on crysis maxed out with crap tons of debris flying everywhere? they may seem silly but those are things i really want to do XD

The i5-3570k will do for BF3, what you need is a high end card or even two of them for 1440p.
Yes, that's a good one.

Yeah, I was going to get the GTX 690 but the helpful people on here told me to get a 680 4gb because 690 is also overkill like the I7-3930k :p

Even two 680 gtx is overkill, i rather get two 670 GTX 2GB in SLI, it will do for 1440p, you'll maxout easily with two 670 gtx, specially if it's the non reference, like the msi pe, the gigabyte windforce 3x, the evga signature 2.
Yes, that's the cooler.

For a cooler I'd recommend the Cooler Master V8. Superior build quality to the 212 Evo, it cools better, and it looks awesome in your case if it has a window. And it's only $20 more.

Just get the asrock extreme 4.
For a single card or for 1440p, a 670 gtx is a better option for the money and 2GB vram will do, the 680 gtx will not give a hugh performance boost vs the 670 gtx, it will be very minimal the performance difference.
For that price you can get two 660 ti : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-GTX660-TI-DC2-2GD5-Graphic...
It will outperform any 680 gtx by a margin, even in minimum fps or average.

Thanks you have been a great help! I'd like to stick with the 680, call it my stubbornness haha, if I post all my parts on here would you go through them. (not supposed to sound perverted)
