Hello all . I'm a student studying industrial design and about to get a new build mainly for design work.
I will be using it for 3D, 2D design softwares (solidworks, rhino all that stuff) but mainly rendering which will be the most important point of getting a new build.
Also, i am not going watch movies or play games on the new pc but just general design works including renderings and so on.
I heard for 3D rendering only things i have to consider are mostly CPU and RAM. So, i want to get quite a good CPU out there which i think i7 3770 would be appropriate, but I want to hear your answers . Also heard SSD x HDD work good so i like it, but i'm not too sure about the detail of the parts.
I don't plan to upgrade or overclock my pc since i don't really know how to.
Bought them back in 08 or early in 09 and I think now is time to upgrade as i get some errors and feeling quite slow while working on this one.
So, i asked a tech guy in Sydney (where i live ) about new rig and he suggested me this.
CPU: LGA1155 Intel i7-3770 Core i7 CPU, Quad Core 3.4 GHz [3.9Ghz Max], Integrated HD 4000 Graphics*, 8MB Intel Smart Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0
Case: CoolerMaster "Elite" RC431 BLACK Tower Case. No PSU. USB 3.0
PSU: 650w ATX WideTECH Super Silent Power Supply with 12cm Fan, 24pin ATX and SATA /129
Optical Drive: DVD Writer SAMSUNG SATA SH-S223B Black oem
And Card Reader SSK CR-P001 Internal Card Reader
Total: $1,149.99 including GST
I couldn't get individual price for this rig but here it is. I am on quite strict budget, so i don't want to overkill any of the parts i will have.
I wanna stay price range around $1k ~ $1.2k, below is better if the parts there are overkill someway!
I think this rig is ok but i don't get the details of the parts since i only know CPU, VGA, RAM the major things..
Any suggestions and opinions will be appreciated. thanks!
