CPU from desktop to laptop

So i have an old pc that is trown in a corner for long time and it has a Intel Core 2 Duo processor of 2.5 Ghz,and now i`m using my toshiba tecra a7 with a Mobile DualCore Intel Core Duo T2600, 2166 MHz (13 x 167) so my question is if i can put my old desktop processor in my laptop? judging by dimension i think it fits,but i don know about the compatibility.

go on ebay and buy one for the desktop

maybe 20-30 for one around the same specs.

neh to trublesome i will buy my laptop 4 gb ram memory now he has only 1 and that gone be all,now it runs with windows 8 and it request more ram memory...anyway thank you
