AMD 4170 TDP 125W in a MotherBoard TDP 95W

I bought the AMD 4170 that has a TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 125W. What happens if I install it on a motherboard with a TDP of 95W?
Will it work with less performance or will damage the processor?

Huge probability it won;t work, but if it does, reduce the clock speed down to atleast 3.6GHz to keep it within reasonably safe power consumption levels....you don;t want your mobo crapping out right

it will most likely work, i heard many cases to where it massively downclocks and does not allow for a higher clock increase, but at least works. may not be ur situation as im not sure if it always works and just down clocks.
