No, that wouldn't make a good gaming computer.

An i5 3570K is just as good for gaming so get that instead and use the saved money to get a 7850 instead of a 6870 (obviously change the motherboard to a socket 1155 one). You only need an 800W psu if you want to crossfire the graphics card in the future, if not a 500W will do.what about 2600k

How do you know you can overclock it?
Overclocking is also a function of TEMPERATURE.
If you have poor airflow, you will be constantly locking and rebooting.
What case and how many fans do you plan on using?
Don't aim for an overclock speed, aim for a STABLE speed.
4.8 Mhz that reboots constantly is slower than my 4.0 that never resets.

I would say this one. But its your build feel free to look around good luck! Yeah i know its 205$ but the 199$ one was sold out.
But i think that card will do you well. I love the 7850's so much i got 2 plus the price drops make them a very enticing product for the mid range budget gamer. You should be able to max out just about everything that card.

Just a shot in the dark here, but I'm guessing you need everything except maybe a monitor.
Here's a quick list, including an Operating System, for $848 It can be picked apart and things moved around but I'm dedicating $92 of the budget to the OS.
If you already have your own copy that's money to dump back into hardware.
