APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: within the month

BUDGET RANGE: $3000

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, blu ray movies, video editing, school work

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg, NCIX, Amazon, could travel to microcenter if that big of deal

PARTS PREFERENCES: intel cpu, other than that no preference

OVERCLOCKING: yes, if needed, SLI, Xfire- if needed as well

MONITOR RESOLUTION: need 1920x1080 monitor included in budget UNDER 24 inches

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Needs to be as much maintenance free as possible as he is in a wheelchair and cannot walk at all, and limited use of his arms and hands, i really want to go over the top with this one because it would mean a lot to him. I have built a computer before so ill build it with him so that shouldnt be a problem. Anyone who helps out, thank you very much from him and also from me, this means a lot.

Thanks

Is the 2400 RAM worth it?

It's hard to spend $3k going just for performance so I went with some added bling for aesthetics. The case, KB, Mouse, headset combo is attractive and the case features (i.e. removable door which doesn't leave fan wires hanging) will make it easier for hiom to get in and do things.

Has 1st tier SSD and HD which will be big for video editing, top notch GFX for gaming and the CUDA capability of the nVidia GFX card will help with the video editing (not available on AMD cards). Monitor is 120 Hz for clarity and 3D performance capability. Can add two monitors down the road if wanted.
