Is 1440 x 900 good resolution for gaming

Hi there,

I've recently been looking around for PC components when it occurred to me that my monitor has only a resolution of 1440 x 900.

Most medium to high spec gaming pcs seem to have 1920 x 1080 and I was wondering if this resolution would cause a drop in quality.

I'm planning buy an fx-6300 CPU and an AMD 7850 2gb GPU.

you wont need 2gb for that resolution. While your lower resolution wont have a huge affect the quality of the image, there are other factors involved in that, but typically it does imply that the monitor is older and therefor less capable compared to a new monitor.

I find going to 1920 x 1080 from anything below just looks amazing and I highly recommend it but the res. you have is fine if you are happy with it.
