CPU cooler + power requirements for this build help!

Hey everyone.

I'm planning on building a desktop soon, and I have a couple of questions.
- I'm just wondering if anyone on here can tell me whether or not a Cooler Master V6GT CPU cooler will be able to fit onto an MSI 970A-G46 motherboard?
EDIT (I completely forgot to put this question in) - Will a 350W PSU be able to power the MSI motherboard + X4 965 BE + GT 520 1GB + 4GB DDR3 RAM + 2TB of total HDD storage + the CM V6GT CPU cooler?

I realize that the V6GT is a massive CPU cooler, but I can get it for next to nothing right now, and I'm planning on getting an AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE CPU, which apparently runs pretty hot using just the stock CPU cooler, so I just want to make sure that the V6GT will be able to fit onto an MSI 970A-G46 motherboard (which is the motherboard I'm getting.)

  1. yes, it will:

    Intel: Socket LGA1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 775
    AMD: Socket AM3 / AM2+ / AM2

since AM3+ is the same as AM3 for mount points, it'll work just fine

I edited the question :P Sorry, I completely forgot to add in the other question I had :P Maybe you can answer that as well :)
  3. 350W should be plenty with just a 520 for GPU
  4. If you are just getting a GT520, then yes.

If you are planning to game, the GT520 is terrible btw.

Yes, I realize the GT 520 isn't great for gaming :P I knew that my 350W PSU would be able to power the CPU + MOBO + RAM + GPU + HDD, but I didn't think it would ALSO be able to power the V6GT CPU cooler as well, so that's actually very cool :)
