This is my first build, and I'm new to this whole custom PC thing. I calculated the cost of this build to be around $900, buying parts from the cheapest sources. Like I said before, I'm new to custom builds, so check my parts for compatibility issues, and feel free to rate and suggest part replacements. I want to run games like BF3 on max settings.

For the budget you could do a lot better. Considering you're not going to overclock and Crossfire/SLI.

Check out my $650 build here:

Switch the 7850 with the 7950 (+$120):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150616
Total: $760 before MIR

You get a better stock CPU, you get a better GPU (Way better I might add) and along with the GPU double lifetime warranty. You're not overclocking or SLI/CFing so a power supply more that 550w honestly isn't needed. With that said the most important thing is getting your GPU up and my build gives you that.

Im also from the vancouver area. If you were smart you would buy from ncix, there are stores all over the place, vancouver, richmond, coquitlam, langley and more.
They pricematch any compeditor and you can pick up (no shipping & handling charges)

Hope this helped man, good luck with your rig

No problem! Things are a bit more expensive in Canada. You might wanna drive down to Washington, only like 3 hours to get to Seattle. From there go to Fry's electronics, you'll get American prices which are cheaper and just tell them to price match Newegg.

Or tell a relative to hold them if you have one in America. Ship to that address and pick it up when you go to their house.

Thats kind of a waist of time though because ncix will match any prices and with the dollar being pretty much par, you will get the same price as any place in the U.S...
Iv been buying from ncix and their customer service is awesome, everybody knows what they are talking about and its an all around pleasant time going there.
And their replacement policy is great.

Some people don't have their passports etc. But i hear where your coming from.

good luck on the build anyways man
