My brother is currently saving up to build his first desktop, but he's unsure about which system he wants. Either he spends his money on an Intel Core i7 2700K Sandy Bridge or he goes with AMD Fx-8150 (the one I have) and spends the rest of his money on the other hardware components.
Basically, he wants either of the following (he is a moderate gamer, but he does play Battlefield):
Combo A
1) INTEL Core i7 2700K with
2) HDD Hard drive
OR
Combo B
1) AMD Fx-8150 with
2) $120 saved on an SSD.
The graphics card and RAM will be set constant between the two desktops.
Which should he go with? I'm on the Fx-8150 right now but I've been using Intel's Core 2 Quad for the past 4 years and I can't tell a difference in performance, although I don't game a lot.
