Zotac geforce 680 sli performance issue

Hello all, I just set up my sli 680's. They didn't seem to perform that well. So I ran a benchmark test with unigine Heaven 3.0
I used the same settings as other tech sites, and they came up with a frame rate of about 77 fps at 1920 by 1080, and max settings for all else. I am only able to reach 60 fps at the most..

I've tried both cards separately and they perform up to standards.
My gear is all correct: x79 sli mobo, 1200 watt psu, 12 gb ram, i7 3820, etc. I have also reinstalled drivers, and YES i have used the sli connector, and enabled the sli in the nvidia control panel. I am at wits end, please help.

Did you check what proccessor they were using? More then likely a oc'ed extreme , id do some more benching carefully looking at the temps and checking for any artifacts

I did some digging and it turns out it was because my monitor is only 60 hz and when v-sync is on it limits your fps to whatever your monitor refresh rate it
