I'm a total noob when it comes to computer building but I did watch this all the way through. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls

and I think I'm ready to give it a shot. I used to mess around with Xbox 360's so i have a little bit of technical know-how.

My question is, did I choose the correct parts? Will they all work together? Did the parts I choose synergize well?

What kind of performance can I expect out of this build?

The cost is right at my budget limit to idk what else I can do. I get windows 7 free since I'm a student, and I've alotted $200 for a 32" lcd that will be going on sale Sunday. I own turtle beach headphones, and a mouse and keyboard.

What else would I need to complete this setup. I need a wifi receiver since my modem is downstairs, anything else I might need?

Thanks for the help!

Do yourself a favour and don't buy that thing.

I agree with Deemo13 also i would recommend you do more than watch a youtube video before building a computer not trying to discourage you but most videos skip allot of stuff including that newegg video this might help http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/274745-31-step-step-guide-building#

nah it's just not surprising you guys say oh computer building is so easy, you are stupid to buy a prebuilt, then someone comes in wanting the build their own and mentions a video and you act superior.

ill just make a list of pros and cons compared to your PC.

PROS:
Faster Processor which is also much more energy efficient
Faster graphics card
Faster RAM
Faster hard drive with more storage space
Much better power supply

Cons:
Lower end case

Actually i was trying to help you but you said you didn't want to deal with me so i decided to move along that newegg video skips important parts that need to be done but i have decided to let others help you because i don't like your attitude

Thank you so much, I'll do some more research, on what you are offering, thanks for taking the time to put that together for me. It's really appreciated.

Anybody want to critique his build?
