System wont boot

Hola!

I'm trying to get an old system going again. Its pretty old but was working fine up until a week ago. All of a sudden when the machine is turned on, it boots up to the windows xp loading screen and then hangs on a plain black screen. There are no error messages or anything and it wont boot in safe mode either.

Any ideas whats gone wrong?
