Hai,

I am facing a problem from so many days.

When i am opening HD videos, games with high resolution, some you tube HD videos system restarts.

I thought due to over heat and applied thermal paste to the CPU fan. But it works fine for sime time

and then restarts after some time.

My Hardware Configuration is

160 GB Hard Disk
Intel Dual Core Processor 3.0G.Hz.
1.5 GB of RAM.

Please help me,

Thanks in Advance.

Two reasons I've ever had an issue with a system automatically rebooting on me:

1) Bad RAM - You can test this by running a Windows Memory Diagnostic
2) Bad Video Card - Are you using a separate video card on your system?

Possibly a failing power supply as well.

Could be, though I haven't ever experienced this first hand. Could also be a bad motherboard.

Ive seen it twice this year alone. My youngest brothers computer started restarting randomly, and he let it ride. Eventually 2 months later smoke came out of the PSU and it was toast.(OCZ Mod xstream pro 700w)

The second encounter was on a cheap generic PSU that came with a buddies pre built computer from a local shop. Same symptoms, but that one died within a week.

I'm not saying this is the cause here though. Just that it happens. :)
