Up to what budget what it be better to get a crossfired Trinity K processor instead of an Intel processor + discrete graphics card?

the only point in using trinity is for entry builds as the gpu choice for hybrid crossfire only go up to gpus that are relatively as good as the 6670.if you plan on ever going past that barrier, then its better to use a more processing power cpu in the intel line or the FX line.(or older phenom lines)

user dependent. in my opinion,

400-500 = barebone
500-700 = entry
700-1000 = mainstream
1000-1200 = high end
1200+ = enthusiast

is how i would classify it. but everyone has preferences.
