Nvidia Geforce Go 7950 GTX with Win7

Hey I have a Dell XPS M1710 that I'm trying to get the above mentioned graphic card to work on, I've tryed both x86 and 64 versions of windows 7 ultimate with drivers from Dell and Nvidia and also some from laptopvideo2go with modded inf file with no joy.
I should say I don't understand how the modded inf files work so I could be using the wrong ones.

When I install the driver and reboot I get as far as the welcome screen and then just black  

I really don't want to go back to XP and will never install Vista so any help would be great
