hey so just recently i updated my drivers for my graphics card and i played a game for about 20 mins before it my monitor lost signal. the computer stayed . i connected my monitor to my mobo vga and everything works fine so its definaly the video card could it be fried ?

Does the video card work if you turn off the PC and boot up with it plugged in?

you mean if i just put the card in and dont plug my monitor into the card keep it on the mobo

No, sorry, I mean does it boot up with the monitor plugged in to the video card.

it boots up then the monitor loses signal but the computer stays on

Does the fan(s) spin? What are the GPU's temps if you can check them before the screen goes blank?

If you can try re-installing the drivers. And if that doesn't work download and install the previous version.
