Can i upgrade my cpu on my Hp MS228IT: this is the specification of my pc:
Now mount an a AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Socket AM3 (938)

HP does not support any CPU upgrades to that computer.The "Upgrading and Servicing Guide" for your system, found here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02043554.pdf mentions nothing of CPU replacement
The major issue with upgrading a CPU in an All-in-One machine is heat. The CPU in currently in your system is a low power model CPU which has been underclocked to 1.6GHz but only produces 25W - the other Athlon II x2 CPU's in that series run at about 3.2GHz and produce 65W, that 40W difference is huge when it comes to dissipating the heat produced. The design of the All-in-One does not allow for 'extra' heat dissipation
