Hey guys I am new here. I have just got into overclocking and have a few questions.
1: when monitoring the heat of my cpu should I be monitoring the core temp or over all cpu temp.
2: Under load my core temps are 60-75 degrees C and the CPU itself is about 40 degrees C. (btw I am using hw monitor to monitor the heat, is this a good software to use? is it accurate?)
Would you guys tell me if those temps are ok and if not what temps should they be?
Thanks guy, I really appreciate it.

Yeah hw monitor is the best, you should be looking at the package temperature, and if that is at 40 under load you are doing great...As long as the package stays under 80C then you won't see any short term or long term heat damage.
