CPU underclocking itself

Hi, I have this problem, I hope you can help me.
My build is this :
CPU : AMD FX-6200
MB : Asrock 960GM/U3S3 FX

So the problem is, whenever my CPU is under full load, it underclocks itself to about 1400 MHz from the normal 3800. I think I tracked down the problem to overheating VRMs on the motherboard. When I run a stress test, I watch the temperatures in hwmonitor and AUXTIN gets to around 80C.

Now the thing is, whenever the temperature gets above 80C, the CPU gets underclocked so the motherboard doesn't burn itself. I haven't overclocked the CPU and I haven't changed anything in BIOS.
I tried turning off C%Q and nothing changes.

By the way, all other temperatures are fine, CPU stays ~40C under full load.
So I'm wondering, is this normal? Is my motherboard faulty? Is there other way to fix this other than buying a new mb? It makes a serious impact on performance when gaming so I really intend to fix this.

Thanks for taking time to help me.

More about underclocking itself
  1. The compatible CPU list for your board shows that it is only compatible with the 95w FX chips. Yours is a 125w part. Swap to a 95w CPU or get a new board that supports 125w FX.

  2. Ok, so I've been looking for a better motherboard. Do you think this one would be good? http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4396#ov . The CPU is supposed to be supported. Would it be any good for overclocking?
