gpu test (help needed)

hi,today i bought the folowing :
1-seasonic 12 II 520 watt (new)
2-cooler master hyper 212 evo( new)
3-gigabyte 6870 soc (used)

and i am having an issue with installing the card , when done i need to test that gpu for any kind of faults what softwares should i use ?????
what (normal) results should i get???

most people I would think run their gpu through Furmark and Unigine

which basically stresses gpu to mark fps. I would also recommend having msi afterburner or some type of program that registers temperature as well
