or

What i need: i basically need a laptop that can run games like farcry3-- minecraft-- bf3. along with that i need it to be able to run a video editing software that i have. I will also use it for documents homework.

If you have any suggestions to other laptops i'd appreciate it. *under $650 but if you really think it's worth looking at please let me know

I'm not a gamer so I can't help with the games question but I do know a little about video editing. What video editing software do you use? I think a discrete video card would be best for editing as you really don't want anything that shares available memory. Then again it all depends on the video you are editing.

Between the two I like the Z585 because of the discrete graphics card which I think would be better for video editing and I'm guessing much better for gaming. Upon further review I'm not sure about the graphics card:

$500 and under laptops for gaming.

I could be wrong but it appears to be a challenge to find a good laptop for gaming in the sub $500 price range.
