Hello,

I am looking to build a desktop for gaming, specifically for playing dishonored. I figured it was about time I got a new computer.

Approximate Purchase Date: Today

600 to 750 price

Parts: everything except monitor, keyboard/mouse, and OS

OS: I would like to use windows 8 (don't include in buy price), preference is for a 64 bit cpu

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Anywhere

Location: Cupertino, CA

Overclocking: NO

Thanks guys, I hope this is doable

Thanks jrgong,

I would be doing 1920x1080 ideally, I didn't realize cpu had a real impact on resolution

Go for an HD7950 and a Corsair Builder 600W power supply.

Pay for it with a PhII 965BE or i3.

Thanks guys.

I ended up ordering, a bit over budget, with the Intel Core i5-3570, the XFX Double D FX-787A-CDFC Radeon HD 7870 and the XFX Core Edition PRO550W.

I figured to get that as the gpu is plenty good for my needs now. And the gpu is something I would think about replacing (or adding duel) in a few years whereas I wouldn't replace the cpu
