The 430 doesn't have two PCI-E connectors and I prefer to have just a little bit of headroom in my PSU.

  5. Thanks guys.

I ended up ordering, a bit over budget, with the Intel Core i5-3570, the XFX Double D FX-787A-CDFC Radeon HD 7870 and the XFX Core Edition PRO550W.

I figured to get that as the gpu is plenty good for my needs now. And the gpu is something I would think about replacing (or adding duel) in a few years whereas I wouldn't replace the cpu
