More about 1000 1050 build
  1. An i5 3570K should be able to fit in there. Might be bad you think, since it gets higher temps than that of the 2500K but it is indeed more efficient, gives around 10% better performance and PCIe 3.0.

    well i kinda wanna keep the price on the low side so $20 is kinda pushing my budget
  3. Get one from Microcenter. They have some kind of CPU+motherboard promo, it saves you like $50.

    There's no real point to go into SB now unless you're a heavy overclocker that needs to reach around 4.8GHz with ease.

    can't go to microcenter the closest one is in Atlanta and that's 5 hours away and SB?
  5. Ah, I see.

    SB = Sandy Bridge

    The motherboard would be such a waste too with a SB.

    i know no PCI-E 3.0 but it still OC's and it looks good the ASRock z68 extreme3 Gen3 is like $2 cheaper but that's only 2 bucks and how is it a waste?
  7. 'cause the z77 is an IB motherboard, thus having features the SB can't utilize.
    Though you seem already set with the SB, it's still a good CPU anyway, I won't stop you.

    i just want the 2500k because it's cheaper and it's a better/cooler overclocker
