What is the best cable to buy?

i can get any of the three but i'd like to ask you guys first what the best choice would be
my choices are: hdmi,dvi(two plug-in ports but they both have different shapes dunno why), or a display cable

which one? i know hdmi is probably the best choice but should i get a dvi or display cable to keep the hdmi free for something else? whats your opinion?

I assume you mean DisplayPort. That said, it really doesn't matter. HDMI is the most ubiquitous, DisplayPort has a few features HDMI does not, but the catch is being able to find anything that actually makes use of them. And HDMI is really just DVI + digital audio and some DRM infrastructure, so the two are the same for all intents and purposes when comparing only video.
