Hi i am going to buy 17" Tft. i am between Viewsonic vp171b,
hitachi 175sxw and philips 170s4fg. Have someone these monitors? what are your suggestions? I read that viewsonic and hitachi are greats but nothing about the philips which it is more cheaper than the others.

I recently bought the VP171B and am VERY happy with it. Got the best price for dell.com. Paid $420.00 out the door. I play star wars galaxies and battlefield 1942 with no problems at all. DVI connection is incredible. This monitor out performs my envision 17" CRT by a mile. The pivot function is pretty neat to. Especially when reading through msg board threads....less scrolling:)

proud owner of hitachi cml174sxwb (same as 175 minus speakers i think)

couldnt recommend it more highly

then again i havent exactly tested every monitor out there

so am i lads, yea its a great monitor - luv it, one point thow its not too gd handling darker shades as THG showed in their review but otherwise its a FAT screen
