What's the word on DDR compatibility with older machines? Let's say for instance i'm running on a 466 celeron. Right now i've only been running on standard sdram, and i have been considering trying ddr ram now that prices are interesting. Would ddr function properly and be compatible with my board? Thanks...

No, DDR needs a different motherboard. This is because of the chipset and the socket. DDR doesn't fit in SDRAM slots.
