I want to know your opinions on what you think performs better. What I've heard so far is that the 7770 performs comparably to 560 but with less noise/power and heat used

Thank you guys so much. You've rested my mind. I'm sitting here with the 560 trying to decide whether or not to return. Gamer, thank you, that was very helpful

You do know the 560SE =/= 560, right? The 560SE is one SM short of a 560, which is one SM short of the 560-Ti (so the SE has 2 disabled Streaming Multiprocessors)

According to the monthly Best GPU's for the money, they 560SE and 7770 are in the same tier:

Armed with a crippled version of the GF114 GPU used in Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560 and GTX 560 Ti, the 560 SE delivers performance similar to the company's now-defunct GeForce GTX 460 192-bit card at a lower price point. It also stands up against AMD's similarly-priced Radeon HD 7770, though the AMD board's power consumption is much more conservative.

In this month, given both the GPU's price points, it's a tie in raw performance, but these two arently exactly directly compared. I had trouble finding the SE in bench charts on Toms. In general, I'd go the 7770. Consumes less power, and the driver updates are squeezing out more performance from the GCN architecture. I'm pretty sure Fermi has reached it's potential.
