Upgrade Dell XPS 420

Hi Folks,

I have a Dell XPS 420 mid-tower. The case is great but the inerds are getting old and tired. I'm wanting to replace the motherboard and PSU with regular (non-Dell) parts. Does anyone know if this would be possible or has Dell locked it down to their components only? Any help is appreciated.

Outside of laptops, Dell has gotten away from their propriety setups. Most everything can now be swapped out with ATX standards. Your users manual (below) shows how to replace parts.
