Which 670 should i get?

I finally decided to get the 670 over the 7970. Been thinking hard about it for a few days now.

After hours of looking at random posts and reviews of 670 vs 7970 i thought i knew what i wanted, but it turns out there are a few different 670's to choose from. I saw the Zotac AMP! edition, but that takes up 3 slots and is close to 60 bucks more.

What edition do you think would be best for being factory oc'ed, quite and able to stay cool? Also a good brand with good warrenty.

Thanks for any help!

I am planning to get the FTW from Evga. I was also considering 7970 with it barely fitting maybe in my Challenger case but I'm not an enthusiast overclocker really so the FTW 670 will do fine at the resolution of 1920x1080 which is what I play on.

There was a deal for this model for 399 but it went back up to 409 on various sites. Of course newegg still says 399 but its out of stock.

They have the LE FTW which has a smaller clock Mhz.

MSI is also good, but that factory overclocked edition costs more, so does the galaxy and the Gigabyte seems too big for my case at least.

Evga has the best warranty and the step up program if you get the extra warranty within 30 days.

I guess i have to wait until one goes on a deal again.

The Asus Top is great but its been out of stock for a long time. Asus took a break I think because of issues with the cards. I don't know if they will even continue to make them anymore.

Thanks for replies. i usually order from tigerdirect because its 1day shipping to me from them which is sometimes worth the extra 5 bucks or so, but it sucks because tiger doesn't seem to carry any special edition of the cards. Ill have to check out newegg i suppose.

Ok since asus seems to be sold out everywhere i think im going to go with the gigabyte windforce edition, also happens to have the most reviews on newegg @ 4 eggs? Seems satisfactory for me.

I read that the first batch of them had issues, is there a way where i could contact support on a website and able to see from the box what batch it would be from, it would suck to get one from that bad batch :(

I don't think so but you can try. I am also leaning towards this at that Price! But would it fit in the Roswell Challenger ? I don't know really, or else I would have ordered it already. If you get it from newegg and its bad, within 30 days you can get it exchanged.

Even though I am a big nvidia fan, the gtx 670 is no match for the 7970, even the 680 which is 7% better than the 670 is at least 8% below the 7970. But in any case I think the 670 twinfrozr from MSI is a good, not so expensive choice.

Yeh the haf 932 should be good for that card. You can remove the drive cages on yours, mine you cant. Him Barely fits lol, well my case is not cable managed, my 560ti was squishing the cables towards the side of the drives because I had no place to put them but I had 1 to 1.5 inches left.

Cool, good choice, since this will fit my case according to that link you posted I may go with that too unless the Evga FTW goes back on sale.

Selayan, i don't know if you have a preference on which site to order from, but for 10 dollars more ($409.00) on tigerdirect you can get it with a borderlands 2 code

Yeh I looked at that but I don't think I am interested in BD 2. Looks alright but for some reason I like realistic graphics lol.

I will have to make a choice this week. Still seeing if a 7970 would fit in my case. Gigabyte also makes one of those too with the size being similar.
