Hello. I was having a hard time browsing the web for a good desktop for running Diablo 3 Smooth. I did find a good one but cost me 700~800$ w/o Monitor. It was from iBuypower.com. I have to admit that is is Efficient enough because the one I built there can run D3 on Max Graphics. So here is what I do have to get:

Desktop. It would solve my Problem.

Specs:

CPU: AMD Anthlon II or Phenom II (It exist right? Cause I can see that i3,i5 and i7 cores are just, Overpriced for me.)

Mobo: Preferably Asus or Gigabyte

Vga: ATI Radeon 7750? I think this VGA gives a good graphics. Will it give good graphics for a 1080p Monitor?

PSU: About 350-400.

Casing/Chassis: Cooler Master. Durable and Affordable.

Monitor: 1080p Monitor. (If im not wrong, I think it might be 19"? or 18"? )

Keyboard and Mouse: Not included, Was planning to get a cool combo near our place.

HD: 350gb ~ 500gb 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM if possible. (If cannot apply, Cheap 250gb would be enough)

DVD Drive: 24x Asus or cheaper.

RAM: 8gb 1333/1600 up.

If cannot be in an All-In-One Desktop, I would also appreciate If its not all-in-one :D Thanks.

In all honesty, you could put something, using Intel Ivybridge, that would be pretty powerful, for under $700, or something that could, at least, run Diablo 3 well, for a lot less than $700.
Leaving aside graphics card (for the moment)

CPU: Intel IvyBridge i3-3220 @ $120
Mobo: Asus H77 (exact mod depending on requirements) say @ $110
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) @ $40
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500GB @ $70
Case: CoolerMaster Elite 430 @ $30
PSU: 500w Modular say @ $60
Opt Dr: Asus DVD/CD @ $25

That comes to around $450. You could then add a graphics card, that's perfectly adequate, for Diablo3, for around $120, or something really good, for around $200/250

There were some benchmarks a while back showing you could run D3 on ultra high settings at 1080P with a Pentium G620/HD 6670 combo. An A10 APU should give comparable performance even without a graphics card.

A10-5800K
2x2GB Crucial 1866Mhz 1.5v C9
ASRock FM2A75M-DGS FM2
Samsung Spinpoint F4 320GB 7200RPM
Fractal Design Core 1000
Corsair CX-430 430W

Total - ~$350

If I remember correctly a HD 6670 will only get you around 45-50FPS on ultra settings at 1080p. I would recommend going with at least a HD 7750.

If you used something like a G840, it may be worthwhile using the money saved, to put it in a Z77 mobo. Far more than it needs, but would then give "acres" of room, for future upgrades, to, say, i5-3570K, and any graphics card, or pair of. Your only limit then would be PSU rating.

Don't know if I'd agree with that, personally I wait 3-5 years for upgrades so there's usually a completely new socket by that point. Also new technologies like the new versions of DDR/PCI-e/SATA/USB etc.

If you only wait 1-2 years for an upgrade, your way is completely viable though.

I was just thinking, if OP would LIKE something like an unlocked i5, then by going that way, with a cheap processor NOW, and maybe in 18 months, if funds were easier, it wouldn't be an expensive upgrade, to last him another couple of years. Of course, Haswell MAY proove to be a no-brainer, in 18 months, but have lost my crystal ball. lol.
