Need help ASAP with video card and power supply

Hi all,

I want to get a new video card and power supply for my Gateway DX4860-UB32P (http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/PT.GCPP2.003).
Some specs are...

Processor is 3.3GHz Intel® Core™ i3
I upgraded the memory from 6gb to 16gb DDR3-1333/PC3-10600 as well.
I added a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS (Intel HD Graphics 2000 on board) to the PCI Express x16 slot. This card was mistreated by the previous owner (my wife ) and is on it's last legs.
My screen is a Viewsonic VP2365-LED 23-Inch Wide e-IPS LED 1920x1080 resolution (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/vp2365-led.htm).
The power supply is a ATX 300w unit.

With a max budget of 200 for BOTH card and power supply, what are your recommendations?
My goal is NOT to play games. I'm a photographer and I NEED a better card than my current 8400.

Fast answers are REALLY appreciated! I have a ton of work to process and I need a reliable card!

PS. I know is not the right thread, but If I wanted to upgrade the processor, could I put a i7 on my Acer IPISB-VR rev: 1.01 mobo? If yes, which would be the best for the buck?
