Overclocking a locked MOBO with windows programs. Tags: CPUs Overclocking BIOS user_friendly February 23, 2013 6:56:43 AM So my MOBO is Intel 975x, and there are no OC'ing options in the BIOS My CPU is a core 2 extreme and its to my understanding that is has an unlocked multiplier i can take advantage of. I found an multiplier option in the BIOS but it doesn't seem to work at all Sooooo, i thought i might be able to use some of those OC'ing softwares out there, but is that even possible? If so what are the better OC programs out there? Are there OC progs that can change my "unlocked" multiplier for an easier OC?
